5th Musleh International Students Debating Championship

These are the boys from the three debate categories + our accompanying teacher :D
Yeeaaaaaahhhh ~(─‿‿─)~

The MISDC was reaaaaally fun yet exhausting due to continuous talking. Haha. I met some old friends, some last-year-opponents and random new friends. Making jokes with the other debaters. Everything was quite joyful despite the stress that the rounds gave us.

But there are 2 schools that I like socialize with didn't came; Sri Ayesha and Maahad Hamidiah. Well, I know that making new acquaintance is good but it's quite hard to maintain and enjoy it in a long-term if our schools are separated by a few state borders, aye? Plus, I think I'm bad in starting a conversation with a stranger...
Le old friend, who has moved to SMI Aman, Kota Bharu
Well, my team didn't go that far. During the prelims, we won 4 rounds out of 5 (we blundered during the first round). We end up breaking into the pre-quarters as the top 7! Sadly, we lost against SMI Hidayah JB B at the pre-quarters with a 2-1 jury margins. My team acted as govt and them as opp on the motion "THBT Prospecting Parents Should Have a Parenting License if They Seek to Have a Child" (I think so, I couldn't remember the motion exactly as it was. I'll update this post later in case I found it).
We lost because we failed to give out a crucial part of our mechanism; How are we going to teach them parenting skills? Even though the answer was quite simple, but yeah, we didn't mentioned it. (╥﹏╥)

The scenery during the Pre-Quarters. Left; Al-Amin Bangi B. Right; Hidayah JB B
Oh well, what has happened can't never be reversed. That's the law of time, aye? So I'll just accept this defeat and try to do better next time.

I guess I'll have to add up my effort so my team can be the winner of the 6th MISDC. Not SMI Hidayah JB anymore. :P (no offence)

I would like to thank my accompanying teachers, my teammates and everyone that helped me. Not to be forgotten, Ikram-Musleh for organizing this annual event consistently.

The Haze

Ergh, the haze has reached the city I'm living in, Seri Kembangan. Even though I got no major respiratory problem, it is still quite a hard time breathing the moving smokes. I hope everyone's health is not severely affected by this. In today's morning, the view was quite grey in my neighborhood but the range of visibility is not that bad.

Suddenly, the existance of mosquitoes are quite apparent in my house. I guess they also hate the haze like how they hate fogging. Still, some of them die due to my brute force. haha.

Why did the haze happen? It is because some farmers in Indonesia used the slash-and-burn method to clear out forests to make agricultural land. Additionally, now is the dry season of Indonesia. So, fire plus dry environment = Uncontrollable fire. Uncontrollable fire = Mass amount of smoke. Mass amount of smoke = Haze. haiz. -.-

Making a poem about haze, that ain't mainstream, aye? But that's what I did. I wrote (type?) a poem bout the haze. It tells you a bit about how the haze happens, why it happens, what happens and what should we do about this. I don't want to babble long but I wanna say enjoy this poem. :3

It is the farmers' turn,
To do the slash-and-burn,
The poison and the air,
Are mashed and churned,

As they work in a toil,
To harvest the palm oil,
They burned the whole soil,
Didn't think the whole coil,

From west to east it blows,
Look as the cuss it goes,
Observe the fuss it throws,
Even the crust it chows,

With the reckon of their recognition,
Money as their single piston,
Started ignition to their selfish greedy tradition,
Between people, believe me, it causes fission,

Oh my, the PSI,
Increases as time pass by,
As the smoke gassed sky,
We can say to thy health; "bye",

As air gets more aberrant,
Coughs are more apparent,
The lands might be all barren,
How can these stuffs all happen,

More events of the asthma,
Making more awkward gala,
Can the status be better,
During the times of later,

What can we do about this?
The only way to out is,
Never with the tongue or fist,
But to decide in office,

A drop of lead in water,
Is still a pack of bother,
Might be a lore of rotter,
And cause the gore of slaughter,

All man agrees towards this resolution,
Dilution's never the solution towards pollution,
Here's a simple conclusion amidst the confusion,
The fusion of bane and stain is a con fusion,

Argh... the haze... bothers my gaze...
It really tempts me... to sit and laze...
Watch-out for your health!
Well-being is a form of wealth.

Assalamualaikum. Let thy health stay awesome. :P

"لو لا مربي لا عرفت ربي" (Without Teachers, I Would Never Be Acquainted with my God)

So 2 days ago (friday), my batch handled this year's teachers day. Quite late aye? Well, it's pretty late because the original date of teacher's day was during our exams. So the teacher's day was postponed for around 2-3 weeks. It's still great, even though the celebration was delayed. In my opinion, that lengthened time for us to prepare benefited us greatly since we're quite busy.

So the day before the majestic day, the boys and the girls of my batch were staying at school for the night to make some big preparations. The girls were busy decorating the hall while us, the boys, were busy crafting a 'limousine'. But me? I was lazing around most of the time because no task was scheduled for me (sorry mates). Plus, I was having a flu that night, and the sound of my sneezes... were quite apparent... I think it echoed through the whole hall. -.-

We stayed up till around 4 a.m. Some were already asleep but those who weren't were continuing to ready up the props. I, myself slept around 4 a.m. only to be waken up by the subuh's azaan itself.

So after some 'khidmat diri', omnomnom and such, the other students were starting to come. Originally, the celebration were supposed to start at 8.30 a.m. but due to a few technical problems, it was almost delayed by around half an hour. Sorry to all of you. : /

It all started with this video, a video to initiate the entrances of the teachers into the party,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdFYTYQqzC0

After that video, we started a video about the entrance of the MC,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gif6PsNPLjM

A lil bit of officialisation by our Principle,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8X6C7dkdFnQ

And we started off our Anugerah Industri Murobbi (Educator's/Teacher's Industry Award) or AIM program where we award our lovely teachers with certain titles. The award is based on votes by the students. A video were filmed for each award. It can be seen at this youtube channel;
http://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_81KSwYaHE_B2yLiUBU-Yg?feature=watch

Well... If you watched a few of the videos attentively, you could see me in a few videos and I did a horrible acting there. Sorry if I did spoiled a few videos. I know it sucks.

Videos were essential to our plannings. It's basically because every of our schedules were almost derived around only the videos. We used the videos to initiate the event and bring forth everything. That's why you see loads of it even though some of them were short and some of them were quite lengthy.

But as whole, for me, it was a great experience taking part of the teacher's day because this is the among the times I see the girls and the boys of my batch being so cooperative to do something. Sacrifices were made, compromises were given and tasks were divided. Couldn't say no to this type of teamwork, aye?

Sorry I couldn't share some pics about this event and sorry for posting this post quite late by about 2 days because I'm not the cameraman. I was pretty exhausted since I stayed up for this event and I gotta attend the school's open day on the next day (saturday).

My batch is awesome, every individuals has awesome talents and I pray we could maintain our awesomeness plus furthering our awesomeness. Kudos to every of you!

Hesitation

Hmm... I felt a bit depressed since yesterday for no obvious reason. I thought only women faces those problems. Haha. In the attempt of cheering myself up, I'll just post my edited collection of poems (means I made it a long time ago and reedited for this post). I'm quite amazed how my 'old' me capable of doing these sort of stuffs. Rhyming to this sort of level. Lol, self complementing -.- Btw, 'old' = maybe 3 months ago or earlier. Can't remember.

But yeah, I enjoyed reading back my old poem and I hope all of you can indulge the poem below. It is called "Hesitation" because it somehow tells you a few perspective about trying to accomplish anything. A few encouragements, some problems that can pose up during the endeavor and some other stuffs.

Do all the stuffs you wanna do without hesitation,
Cuz all you wanna do; fulfill your imagination,
Don't be afraid of incoming dully reactions,
Or even ugly interactions.

Cuz you never know how much occasions,
You probably miss in that exact situation,
The key to win is to keep your patience,
While keep an interest in your passion,

Some chances, are just so sporadic,
Hence enchances, your reason to make it all epic,
Some dances, would end up being so tragic,
Dumb glances, throwing claims you're just a low addict,
Never stop until your cause advances, till it flows like the mighty river of Sepik,
Then thought changes, thinking you have a talent of magic.

Sometimes you'll be mocked by the authority,
They reckon you're full of stupidity,
Rumor will bluff bout your insanity,
While some mankind will give you only pity,
Feel these probs like it will never cause you to be itchy,
Remember, they just want to be the ember of eerie,
But just go on and ignore the whole community.

As the slow course of the future flow,
They will later know of your vulture show,
There will be a row, amaze at your culture blow,
And another row, still trying to puncture yo',

And as a whole, it just doesn't really matter,
Cuz all you want was just to be better,
A hole, will never stop you from another leap ever,
You have a role, which is never to please hater,
But be the feat setter,
And seek to beat better,

Even if the fight's too long,
Concede defeat never,
Succeed the heat battle,

In achieving victory sometimes,
Greed is better,
But do walk the talk,
Not merely chit chatter.

If you meet imbeciles just,
Exit the bleak hassle,
And just go on and skip their reek prattle.

In the end, it is just really,
A venture bout you actually,
Who wanna stop you just is Miss Silly,
Never stop till you sprout like this sea lily,
You know Jack Sparrow? Let's get rich as his sea 'pilly'.

I guess it's quite long huh? Yup, it is quite lengthy :/ But still, I hope all of you enjoyed the poem. I guess this is the end of this post. Assalamualaikum and stay awesome. ^_^v
